Travel money - anyone used Currency Club

Going on a cruise around the Norwegian fjords next month and have been looking at the exchange rate over the last few weeks so we have some spending money when we’re on shore.

The rate over the last few weeks has been hovering around 11.20-11.30, however Currency Club will do it for 11.40kr to the £. I’ve never heard of them, has anyone used them and were they ok?

Never heard of them but they sound like a foreign exchange service and I'd be put off if your money is not protected. A company like that went bust some years ago and a lot of people lost their money.

Also, where are you getting your exchange rate data?

www.xe.com/currencyconverter/convert/?Amount=1&From=GBP&To=NOK

It's a little better than you say and you'd get the full bank rate with something like a starling card and your money is totally safe.

Will you need much cash? I have just been to iceland and the only thing I needed cash for was a toilet by a waterfall (and that was an honesty box) I have been to nordics with work as well and pretty sure it was all cards.
