Help me find a holiday for my 40th with a toddler please :)

I've saved up to have a nice week long holiday for my 40th in September but finding it hard to find the right thing without compromising either somewhere not that suitable for a toddler or too catered towards children. It will be me, my husband and my 2 year old.

I'm mostly looking at the Balearics, but not discounted other destinations, love the look of the Ikos hotels in Greece but they are well out of my price range in September.

I'd prefer a short haul flight, nice beach and clear sea to go snorkeling in (Cala Esmerelda near Cala D'or was perfect for snorkelling) I like Cala Galdana and Puerto Pollensa as resorts.

My ideal stay would have a balcony hot tub to chill out on an evening with my hubby since we'd be back at the hotel room by 8:30-9pmish for toddlers bedtime, £3k half board for a week is my top budget really inc flights.

Has anyone been to the Royal Son Bou? I feel like that would be a dream holiday for my toddler but not sure if it would tick all the boxes for the little bit of luxury I'd like for my 40th? I'm probably asking too much on my budget but thought I'd put it out there. :)

Thanks in Advance.

The Ikos would be perfect and we just did 5 nights for about 3k
Booked flights separately and then the hotel directly. In September you should get a great deal as all the children will be back at school.
Defo do Ikos!

Thankyou Ive, I just checked their website and the absolute cheapest in September is £3500 for the hotel without flights etc I could see if I could push my budget more but it is probably still £1k over (and my £3k is already pushing me a bit even with birthday donations). x

I should probably add that I'll be flying from Manchester too.

Ring the hotel reservations direct - I went with a toddler and I rang the hotel direct and then asked them to search for room availability and I didn’t mind moving rooms once during the stay. They often have rooms that have 1/2 day availability but you can only book for 5/7 nights on the packages.

its also all inclusive so nothing else to fork out for apart from flights. The hotel will do your transfer too.
There is no harm in trying direct!

FWIW I ended up booking the Viva sunrise hotel in Alcudia. I've booked a Royal terrace room since there's a balcony Jacuzzi and there seems to be lots to do for little ones too, also I really enjoyed Pollensa before having children so hopefully a similar vibe in Alcudia since it's North Mallorca.

Maybe we'll go to an IKOS hotel one day but the cheapest I could get the total down to was still over £4k for one of their standard rooms and seperate flights.

Thankyou :)

@Ohthatsexciting we're not going until beginning of September but I'll try to remember to update this thread. :)

I booked self catering and will upgrade to either half board or AI when we get there (a tripadvisor post recommended that this was cheaper than choosing a board package through the tour operator) Definitely looking forward to the hottub balcony. _

Am in Cala D Or and am staying at Parq Mar apartments.. absolutely stunning location with beautiful views and definitely caters for toddler. We have stayed at Cala Ferrera before but this location trumps it .Am definitely coming back in August!

Not cheeky, £2400 self catering Royal Terrace room and we'll upgrade the board when we arrive at the hotel. We go second week of September and I paid slightly nore to get better flight times 7:30am there 12 noon back, I also paid to choose our seats (but only standard ones) there was a £150 discount code too (£50 off per person) x
