I've booked flights to Fuerteventura for me, MIL and two DC (under 5). Ryanair are asking me to upload covid documents when checking in on the app. I only have my QR code. Do I need to have a printed copy to upload? I'm getting all confused and can't make head nor tail of it.

Placemarking on this (sorry) because I haven’t yet checked in for our July holiday and I had no idea about this. We each have the app but no documents to upload.

Don't upload anything on the Ryanair app, it's not actually compulsory.

Are you and MIL fully vaccinated? If yes, you just need your passes ready in case there's a check at the border (I flew into Spain just yesterday and there weren't any, it's very rare nowadays).

But nothing will happen if you just don't upload them to the app. Ryanair will still issue you the boarding passes. I've flown with them many times during the pandemic and this has always been the case. It will say 'COVID Docs not uploaded' but this doesn't invalidate them.

No need to upload anything. Just click 'next' or 'no' when it asks you to upload. It's not compulsory even though it may look like it.

On the NHS app when you look at your vaccination QR code it also gives you the option to download a PDF copy or recieve a copy by email.

Thank you for the quick replies. Yes we're both fully vaccinated with booster doses.

I have checked us in and have got boarding passes. I'll try log in to NHS inform and see if I can download a pdf version too. Handy to print out and take as a just in case.

Sorry one follow up question. Is the SPTH form compulsory? From what I can gather I need this along with my QR code to enter Spain

If you're boostered and your children are under 12, you don't need the form. Those were the old rules. Right now you just need your vaccine pass, which may or may not be checked, but nothing else.

@EileenGC thank you so much. You're much more helpful than the ryanair links!

@ImAbsolutelyTwatted No you only need that if you aren't fully vaccinated now.

I downloaded the NHS app, downloaded the pdf copy and printed it out, also save the vaccine certificate (3rd dose one) to the wallet on my phone.

The process was very quick at Palma (2 weeks ago) there were loads of desks with scanners, it was a 10sec process.... there was an elderly couple who didn't have anything and they were then helped to download the SPTH app and form.

Its not their intention to stop people coming on hols to Spain.

Thank you. It's our first holiday since covid and I got myself all confused. I've managed to download a pdf of my vaccines (2nd & booster). I'll print a copy just in case my phone glitches. I've got all my QR codes on my phone and added to apple wallet.

You've all been so helpful and saved a morning of stress Grin
