Villas in Greece

Hi. I'm trying to peace together our holiday in Greece. - can anyone recommend a good place to find a (not too expensive) villa. ? Trying to find separate flight and villa but tbh it seems much cheaper to get a package ? Anyone any tips/experience please ? Thanks

We are doing the same but it’s very difficult to find a package anymore. You have to book separately.
try James Villas or Oliver’s Travel or villa plus. Then find an easy jet/jet 2 flight.

Booking.com is good for villas. One thing I would definitely do is Google anything you find on James villas to see if available cheaper on another platform.
Probably not helpful sorry but this is the first year I’ve opted for a package deal as so much easier to manage insurance or cancellations. I did book uncharacteristically early though.

Thanks for replies. Very helpful. It's so long since I booked a holiday I'm a bit clueless!

Try Northern Zakynthos. Cheaper than a lot of the other islands, but extremely beautiful. Look up Avgi Villa, or if your budget won’t stretch to that, Makris Gialos Apartments. Not for this year though, everything will be booked already…..

I always search on Booking.com then search for the website of any that I think are good options. IME most Greek villa owners will give a better price if you contact them direct. I email them to ask for their best price, even if there’s a booking system on their site, because invariably they will offer you an even better rate if you agree to pay cash on arrival/at the end of your stay. I’ve also done the same thing with hotels & received decent discounts.
My other approach is to google “accommodation/villas/hotels in xxxx”. A lot of small businesses are more likely to appear in this type of search. Really nice places which are usually let by word of mouth rather than major advertising. Personally I have always found the majority of British villa companies vastly overpriced.
Where in Greece are you heading to? Perhaps we can suggest places?
