Long stay Caribbean

In January 2023 DP and I want to spend a month in either Grenada or St Lucia. We've been to both islands and really want to "live" there for the month rather than just go into a hotel. Has anyone done this before anywhere in the WI? I know we could look at Airbnb but are there any other decent sites worth looking at for a rental like this? I know there are lots of cases of people being scammed with non existent properties etc so am a bit nervous about it so only want to book through genuine agents etc.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
