Travelling to Thailand. Help?

How do I apply for a Thai pass? Also we’re thinking of doing Thailand to chiang Mai. What’s the most safe and reliable way to get there? Looking at flights but I’ve never heard of the providers and I’ve looked at forums and they’re telling me some scary and worrisome things about Thai smile.

what do you all think. It’s a 1 hour flight vs 10 hour train

Sorry, can’t help with the Thai pass but re the internal flight, we’ve flown multiple times with AirAsia and always had a good experience.

When we went from Bangkok to Chiangmai, we got an overnight sleeper coach. We left at approx 10pm and arrived into Chiangmai at 7am. The seats reclined and we had quite a comfy night (although it stops around 3am at a service station and everyone gets off for a meal, we didn’t and stayed on the bus to sleep).
