Tenerife how to get to Loro Parque

I want to book a holiday to Costa Adeje but I’m not sure how exactly to get to Loro Parque. I’ve seen a day trip for around €55 each and the coach picks us up from somewhere in the nearest town. It says to only pay €11 now and to pay to rest in cash to the tour guide. I don’t want a tour guide to be honest. My hotel is Adrián Hoteles Jardines de Nivaria. Has anyone got any tips? It’s just me and my husband travelling.

thanks

Do you use Facebook? If so, have a look for a group local to your resort. I find them to be really helpful for all the top tips on trips, transport, restaurants etc.

Can you hire a car in order to travel there?. The journey time is just over 1 hour.

There will be bus trips to get there when you're in Tenerife. It's presumably just the return trip they mean rather than a guided tour.
It may also be possible to get a taxi for the two of you at a set rate.

If you do decide to rent a car Autoreisen are very good.

It is cruel and money making. Tenerife has a lot more to offer.

It's the opposite end of the island. €100 in a taxi and about 60 minutes.

Coaches state 90 minutes but it's more like 2 hours.

If you want to see whales why not book a yacht out of Los Gigantes and see them in the ocean. We went out on private tour for €300 and saw whales and dolphins, we also had a lovely lunch and swam in the sea. It was a bucket list day for us and well worth the money.

€55 seemed expensive to me, but I notice the tickets to loro parque alone are €40. All the 'tour guide' will do is take your money as you get on the coach.

I personally would wait until you get there and book something at either the hotel or one of the local tourist places. You might be able to get it a little bit cheaper locally especially if you book other trips.

Book with a tour operator in Tenerife. One that does it own coach with less pick ups!

Or hire a car. Pretty easy drive up the TF1 and /or combine with travelling via Teide.

I used to live in Adeje and drove Santa and peurto de la Cruz a lot. It's an easy drive and we'll sign posted.

My best tip would be to avoid this horrible and cruel place.

Agreed. Please watch Blackfish on Netflix to see how awful this (and all marine mammal shows) are.

Watch the documentary Black Fish and you won’t want to go.

What is the hotel like? It looks lovely!
