Please help me understand my WizzAir luggage allowance

Hello,
it’s the first time I fly with WizzAir and I’ve booked a package through a package holiday provider.

I just went into my booking and it seems there’s a different allowance for my outward and return flight?

Is the is normal? I don’t even recall making the selection when I made the booking.

I can't read the small print, but I suggest you check with the package provider.
Sometimes the allowance is more via a package than a flight booked independently.

I’ll call them, WizzAir seem to charge over £1 per minute if you call them

You have a check in suitcase of 20kg paid for on your return flight, but not outbound. For the outbound flight, you only have small hand luggage, which is like a kids school backpack, not a wheelie case or similar.

If the package provider booked on your behalf rather than you booking it yourself, you need to get in touch with the package provider so they can change it - looks like they may have made a mistake in the booking and forgotten to book you a case on the return journey.

Sorry, I got my journeys mixed up - as Justcannot says the problem is with the outbound flight. Who is the package provider?

Thanks guys, yes, it seems I have the 20Kg for the outward flight only.

it’s with On the beach, I’ll try and call them.

My friend was trying to book with WizzAir last weekend and had exactly the same issue. We never got to the bottom but decided it was a way of making you pay extra (along with having to book to sit together) as further into the booking there was an option to pay for the luggage.

Yes call on the beach. Yes can't have different allowances in flight there v return. That's crazy. 20kg bag on way back. But not there. Eh? Administrative error. Get then to correct it.

Unfortunately, the On the Beach’s line for customers with existing bookings are closed due to the large volume of bookings they currently have.

tried to send message through my account, as they ask, but I’m just referred to a FAQ page.

I downloaded the Wizz Air app to check in and yes, I only have checked baggage and free seats included on the way there.

If I can’t get hold of On the Beach, I’ll talk to WizzAir on Monday at the airport, but it seems like they’ve applied a different fare for each leg of the trip.

Noooo! I’m so sorry OP, you must be so disappointed. What’s happening with airlines at the moment!

@HappyCup , it’s so disheartening.

Especially when they cancel this close to departure.

Did you get your money back @YetAnotherNam?

@HappyCup , yes!

Full holiday refund from travel company and €400 per person as compensation from Wizz Air.

Phew! I was worried if it all goes tits up for my friend then might not get her money back. She’s had a tough year and I think that would be shitty icing on a shitty cake if you lost your holiday and the money.
