Sorry not sure about hotels

Tamariu and around that area. Palafrugell I think another town is called. Absolutely beautiful around there.

Yankydoodledandy · 25/05/2022 08:20

Tamariu, callella de palafrugell, or Llafranc are gorgeous coves on the Costa brava and all pretty close so you can explore them all, if you want a bigger town I like platja d’aro. There are a few hotels on the road out that overlook beautiful coves or there are some in the town along the main beach with promenade.

I'd second all of these. We based ourselves in Tamariu then travelled around the area almost up to the French border at Cadques. There's a lovely mixture of sitting on a quiet beach and culture.

Read 'Nothing But Blue Sky' by Kathleen MacMahon - it's a wonderful book and largely set in a beautiful little village a couple of hours north of Barcelona. I googled it and I think the village itself has a pseudonym in the book but there are some real places mentioned as being nearby. It made me desperate to go back to that coastline.

Yes this is a gorgeous area - also Begur (hill top village - brilliant restaurants) Aguia Brava - all those little coves are beautiful.

Platja Arrabassada was nicer with chiringito bars

Minoloso · 25/05/2022 18:11

Tamariu, it’s idyllic. Beautiful beach and beautiful beaches nearby.

Norugratsatall · 25/05/2022 18:21

Sitges. Been there 3 times - love it! Although the last time was in 2011 and it had definitely got more touristy.

titsintiers · 25/05/2022 18:23

Begur?
