Hard suitcase set recommendations

Can anyone recommend a hard suitcase set? I need a large, medium and cabin suitcase for an upcoming holiday. Preferably with 4 wheels.

I love the Tripp ones. We have one per person in the family, each in our favourite colour, and they have lasted for ages.

M&S! They roll like a dream!

@BonnesVacances are they the ones that look like Lego? I like those, the colours are really nice too. I wish Debenhams were still around, I did prefer being able to see and feel before purchase. Which colour did you go for? Have you had them a while?

@cowsaysmoo Thanks I’ll take a look.

Some of the suitcases are so heavy, I saw a Samsonite one in Costco the cabin bag was about 5kg, the airline only allow 7kg! The large bag was about a third of the weight allowance.

If you’ve got the budget then the Samsonite C-lite range is amazing. We got one each for our recent trip and it made travelling a dream. No need to get a trolley - we all (including the kids) just rolled our own along.

They are one of the lightest suitcases you can buy.

We also have Samsonite. Love them 🤣

I'm personally not a fan of hard cases as they get scratched but you mentioned debenhams. Debs sold a lot of Tripp cases and you can still buy them direct www.tripp.co.uk/?gclid=Cj0KCQjwhLKUBhDiARIsAMaTLnE0Aa24Y-RwUv1Ge9LoIys59imEGaN2TwyTxY_f92bdrz4vYS0ziwkaArToEALw_wcB

I agree with @CeeceeBloomingdale I had a couple of hard cases and they got absolutely trashed in the hold and I find them harder to pack as there's no "give" in them. Fine for hand luggage but I wouldn't buy another one. I also figure that baggage handlers don't treat expensive luggage any better than cheap luggage so you might as well go cheap n cheerful even if it means replacing more often (although I have some cheap luggage that's lasted incredibly well).

I might just stick with the soft cases then.
