Cyprus with a toddler

Finally married on our third attempt (COVID!) and we're hoping to go to Cyprus for our honeymoon in September. Pre-pandemic we had a lovely roadtrip planned with stays in various places - beach, mountains, Nicosia etc but obviously that all got cancelled. Now we have a toddler (will be just 2 when we travel) and we'd still like to go to Cyprus but need to scale down the plans a bit! We're thinking probably no more than two locations, one or both coastal. Access to, or in, a nice village or town for (child friendly!) restaurants etc. We'd maybe like to stay in one Airbnb and one hotel (with good pool!) Looking for recommendations for both areas/towns/villages and specific hotels. Budget is moderate. Any ideas for toddler-friendly Cyprus in general also appreciated! This is our first proper holiday with her so we're total newbies.

Where would you go?

Congratulations, following as I also have a 2 year old toddler and would like future ideas.

Not Cyprus but we recently stayed at the Marbella Corfu which was a really nice hotel although it has a pebble beach rather than sand (which my toddler loved and he spent hours throwing rocks) x

We rented a villa in Aphrodite hills last year with our little ones. It worked really well, our own space to enjoy during the day but with a pool, and some nice bars and restaurants at night if we wanted to pick up some food to bring back.

Atlantica Aeneas Resort isn’t exorbitant, yet it’s a nice hotel for a honeymoon. It has a Tui baby club where you could leave your dc for a couple of hours to spend some time with DH. Plus, the family rooms have sliding door partitions that separate the two sleeping areas.
The main pool is one of the biggest in Cyprus, and it also has a spa. It’s very toddler friendly, in that it’s less than 100m to Nissi beach, has a playground and a little splash pool.

Cyprus is very child friendly in general. My sister lives there in limassol and there are lots of things for kids there.

Disclaimer: it was quite a few years ago as said toddler is now a dirty great teenager but we stayed here and it worked really well https://www.aktivillage.com/
The rooms were apartments with either a balcony or patio which meant he could go to bed earlier and the adults could sit out with a drink. The toddler paddling pool also made life a lot easier, he'd have been happy with playing in that pool with the little friends he made all holiday! It was a short bus ride into Paphos and we hired a car for a couple of days to go further afield. Everywhere we ate out was very welcoming to kids. We went to the farmers market in Paphos one day and practically had to drag the toddler out as the old ladies were all feeding him free samples of their fruit and he thought it was the best thing ever!
Also stayed here pre-kids which was nice too - quieter village than being near Paphos but plenty of places to wander, nice tavernas overlooking the sea and you can boat trips from the harbour.

The Almyra and the Annabelle in Paphos are supposed to be lovely (I have friends who've stayed at both with DC and said they were great). We've had two holidays at Aphrodite Hills, which were excellent, and there's a TUI Sensatori hotel there called Atlantica. Not sure if any of those suits a 'moderate' budget though!
