France / Bordeaux coast

I'm looking for accommodation on the coast. Apart from the usual sites anywhere else that had hidden gems / decent accommodation? A lot of what's on Airbnb etc looks a bit shabby.

Guethary (sp?) is a hidden gem on that coast, its beautiful. Biarritz is close by but busier.

We had an amazing holiday at Contis Plage - about an hour or so south of Bordeaux. There are great beaches, loads of forest trails (flat, brilliant for biking), cute towns, the Dune du Pilla... We stayed in a hotel, but there was a huge park with lodges/static vans which looked good. I think there are Air BnBs there too - it's not as touristy as other places.
Friends went to Biscarosse a couple of years later (a bit further north, same coast) and loved it too.
