Heathrow Terminal 2

Hi

Has anyone travelled from Heathrow Terminal 2 in the early hours???
We are travelling with our two year old.
Our flight takes off at 6am
We plan to be there at 4am with luggage drop off etc we were hoping to get a bit of breakfast but the website just says the restaurants open from first flight
Does that mean they open at 6 when the first flight takes off or before then for the people on that first flight?
Sorry if that makes no sense

Yes, hardly anywhere is open before 6.00am

Following as I'm taking an early flight from T2 next week! Does anyone know how long the walk is from the Heathrow Express to T2 check in? The website doesn't state.

We were in T5 for a 6.15am flight recently. Most places seemed to open at 5am for breakfast - there was a huge queue for Pret!
