Maldives

Hi guys

We're considering different options for the Maldives at the minute. Planning to book soon for next year.

Has anyone been to Baros, Ozen Life Maadhoo, Hurawalhi or Velassaru? If so, please can we have you opinions. It will just be me and DH.

We just got back from Sun Siyam Iru Fushi, was absolutely beautiful. We went with our DS 13 & 19 and older sons girlfriend. The food, island and staff where amazing. The most relaxing holiday I've ever had . Plenty to do if you choose or do nothing ....would recommend it completely

We went to Baros a few years ago. Easy boat transfer from Male, amazing snorkelling just off the island (which was the main reason we chose it) - lots of turtles, sharks and fish. Diving also really good. The resort had a very easy going Maldivian feel to it. Food was excellent (we went all inclusive), as were the staff.

We are booked for Siyam World next Easter, I think they're owned by the same people as Sun Siyam Iru Fushi. I'm a little worried as it's a huge island rather than the traditional Maldive island, but they have a great looking All Inclusive (some I looked at (Hard Rock!!) only allowed kids the basic food) and a water park to help entertain kids. Also you can hire bikes to get around if needs be.

We’ve just booked Hurawalhi. I’m hoping it will be amazing, special birthday holiday and first time we’ve been on our own in 20 years. Booked through Emirates and upgraded to the new premium economy which I’m very excited about!!
