Anyone live in Marylebone or know about parking there?

Just wondered if there are lots of roads to park in around Marylebone. We are going up on Saturdays for a few weeks and need to know where to park!! Hoping i can park on the road and then not have to pay!

I found this handy site a couple of weeks ago -- you put in a postcode or a street name and it tells you where the nearby parking places are.

Having said that, it's highly unlikely that there will be free parking round Marylebone on a Saturday -- usual parking rates in central London are 20p per 6 minutes, and lots of parking places have a 2-hour maximum stay.

Can you not get a train instead?

No chance I'm afraid. Meters or NCP.

Thanks, didn't know about that site, going to check it out now I stupidly thought it was free parking on a saturday

No free parking in Marylebone Saturday or in res park bays on Sundays either. They are very keen on towing there too.

Best thing to do would be to park near Paddington (which is free parking on Saturdays) and get the tube 2 stops

Thanks spicemonster, is there a car park then at Paddington that is free, or just road side parking? That sounds a good idea.

Free parking on the street, not car parks (but it might only be after 1.30pm). If you have a look at Westminster's website (www.westminster.gov.uk) you can look up individual streets around Paddington station to double check. Parking restrictions can be different on the same street so check very carefully.
