Gardaland

So, the trip advisor reviews are terrible (queues), but we are flying to Venice in the summer and are thinking of having a few days near Gardaland. I have booked 2 nights in a hotel close by so not planning on hiring a car.
Me, and 2 teenage sons.
Any recommendations?
Is the water park for younger children?
1 or 2 days in Gardaland?

I went there with a school trip of y9s. It’s a day. Taking a boat around Lake Garda is much nicer!

We had a great day there! To be fair DD was about 10, but there are plenty of rides that teens would enjoy. Go for it 👍

The little towns around the lake are gorgeous. Very family friendly there. Gardaland was...meh, in my opinion. Venice & Verona also lovely.

Yes, we will also be in Venice for a few nights, but worried about the heat.
So one day in Gardaland.
And a couple of days lakeside.
Has anyone been to the Gardaland water park?
