Morzine in summer

We are going to Morzine in August, two teenagers to entertain. Looking forward to the pool, lake, lifts, mountain bikes etc but wondering about the ‘big stuff’ like zip line and paragliding which would be big treats! How far in advance do we need to book or can we do it face to face when we get there? Any recommendations for a paragliding company, I see there are several? Any other activities and places we should go? Favourite restaurants? We saw a video of a big slide into a lake but can’t find that now and think that might have been somewhere different. We are getting excited but not finding much info about summer in the Alps. I like a good guide book but haven’t found one! Thank you for all suggestions

We have spent several summers (and winters) in Morzine though have younger children with us. We booked everything once we got there but it's difficult to say if covid has changed any of this. The lift pass is purchased in resort and can get you everywhere and in fact you can go from Morzine then walk to Avoriaz and then lifts back. Stunning scenery. Lots of the mountain restaurants are open though picnics have a great view! Wild blueberries grow everywhere.
The mountain biking is insane.
The lift pass also gets you free access to the pool but remember, it's speedos for men!

Les Gets has a lake with an obstacle course on it and is a 10 minute drive. Restaurant Le Tremplin at the bottom of the Pleany lift has a good apres style atmosphere and is a great meeting point if people are doing their own thing. It's also at the bottom of the toboggan which is a fun activity.
Lake Montriond is worth a day trip, nice drive, beautiful lake which you can canoe around. It's also good for a flat run!

Ooh we’re going here too in August so thanks for the tips. Staying a little bit out of Morzine but close to Lake Montriond - pleased to hear there’s a flat running route. Fancy some lake running then swimming.

Forgot about the speedos for men in the pools. DH had to buy some last time. Wonder what age is for them will teenage boys have to wear them? 😱

I believe so! I do remember looking round and not seeing any exceptions. The pool was worth it though as it has both indoor and outdoor elements and is a bargain included with your lift pass. Your lift pass also covers the small train that runs through town that can be handy too.

Thanked @Annexlife I’ll prepare them for the speedos! Sounds worth it!
