Where shall we go /stay? Or if not Brittany then a similar vibe. Thank you in advance!

When I was young a long time ago, we used to stay on the Quiberon peninsular. No doubt it has changed a lot since the 70s though!

I love Beg Meil, it's has a very pretty enclosed beach and lots of lovely rock pools for little ones to explore. Fouesnant is beautful everywhere tbh. Enjoy day trips to Concarneau (lovely castle) and Benodet (cute beach town, go across the Harbour to Sainte-Marine for lunch) and the fishing port in Guilvinec and shopping in Pont-l'Abbé. Further afield is the stunning beach as you drive into Douarnenez and the amazing medieval town of Locronan which hosts Troménie in July.

We started going to Brittany when our DDs were 6 and 8 and I found a lovely gite complex near Dinan to stay in. I can link if you're interested. Perfect for young families.
There are lots of places in Brittany to visit with children.

@hibernatingbear We holidayed here for 8 consecutive years and have made lifelong friends with some of the families we met there (we booked the same weeks to holiday together).

We had a nice time I Brittany in July but weather was unpredictable and windy ( a bit like Cornwall) . We were glad to be staying near the beach to get each jumpers / run inside after a few hours of The sun going on and out.

We used to stay at Trinite Sur Mer. Also Carnac area is good. Lots of old towns and villages and beaches galore. We’ve also stayed near St Malo. Again lots of villages and Dinah is lovely. Lots of beaches have big play areas for DC. We just stayed in self catering places. Nothing fancy. Mostly had good weather.
