We're considering going on holiday to one of these French islands and I was wondering whether they are any issues related to colourism there.
I am white and my partner is black (very dark West African). We've been to Cuba and my partner didn't enjoy it very much because people used to stare and ask questions about his job etc. He has a very good job / career and people used to act very surprised. We also experienced blatant racism on many occasions (even from people who were black themselves, just had fairer skin).
Does anyone know what the situation is in Martinique or Guadeloupe?
