Would you pay £400 for a room upgrade to have a separate bedroom to children?

As title says. Either all in one open room or £400 will get a wall and door to separate us for the week.

Is this for a week? No brainier. Much more peaceful holiday, well worth it.

@Frenchfancy sorry I should have been more explicit. Privacy =sex 🤣. A holiday without sex is not a holiday to us.

TokyoSushi · 01/05/2022 14:17

Yes! I hate only having one room, primarily because they wake earlier than me in the morning and I don't like being asked a million pointless questions before I've even opened my eyes!!

MagicMatilda · 01/05/2022 14:35

Absolutely!!!

zafferana · 02/05/2022 07:51

If you can afford it, then yes, absolutely! We can do a night or two all crammed in one room, but two is much better.

This was the key point of my post also for the avoidance of doubt.

Definitely worth it, no question.

rookiemere · 02/05/2022 07:57

That's quite reasonable for a separate room. If you can afford it I'd pay it.

Friedaseyebrow · 02/05/2022 07:57

Definitely. Our worst holiday was in a hotel with all of us in one room.

DeskInUse · 02/05/2022 07:58

Yes absolutely!

So if the hotel doesn't offer separate bedroom (lots / too many don't!) or the lovely upgrade rooms have sold out, would posters mind sharing how they get their privacy?

I'm thinking kids club = time for adults to spend in the room, but am I missing any other tricks?!

KangarooKenny · 08/05/2022 07:34

Yes

Other options

Kids club
Bathroom
Balcony

A separate sleeping area for DD is a must, more than 1-2 nights in one room is a disaster and none of us sleeps well.

Now DD is 15 and can't sleep on a sofa bed anymore so it gets really expensive to find proper 2-bedroom-suites/appartments.

caringcarer · 11/05/2022 22:33

Not much of a holiday with no sex. I would pay the extra.

Geranium1984 · 12/05/2022 13:54

Definitely!!!
