Hi all,

Applied for a first passport for DS earlier today but the online tracker still only says application submitted (not yet 'application received').

I've also not received a confirmation email or text to confirm payment or anything, but did download the pdf confirmation from the webpage with tracking number and the money is pending from my account.

Just finding it a bit odd as when I renewed mine last month I got email and text confirmations instantly and the online tracker status updated to application receieved a minute after it was submitted.

The pdf and the webpage confirming payment asked me to sign in to the tracker to send them details of the person I'm using to confirm DS' identity, but there's no option to do that (I guess because it doesn't say application received yet maybe?).

I'm aware the passport office is also having issues / delays at the moment so expecting this to be playing a part too. Just don't want to wait for them to update anything and they think they're waiting for me to send them those details 🤷🏼‍♀️

Am I just being impatient (probably!) or has anyone else had the same recently and able to shed any light on this please? Thanks!
