hoping to go to Italy with my parents (my dad used to go to italy as a child and has wanted to take us there forever!), my sister, my dh and ds (will be about 20 mo) in July - we are a bit clueless as to where to go, my dad used to go to Elba but that seems quite hard to get to!
would like somewhere not desperately hot (so coast/island?), self catering with a reasonable size town nearby but rural location. Maybe with one of the "big" cities like florence or rome near??
Is this a lot to ask?! Not a huge budget either..
think we would rather do a package for simplicity but could be independent (dh and i have travelled loads but my parents like order!)
