September ideas for a couple & a 4 month old

We would like to go away in September with our then four month old. Not too long a flight, probably Europe. Still warm but not boiling. Ideally a mix of things to do and pool, a town or nearby city or similar would be nice to potter as well as beach. Open to villas, all inclusive, anything really! Maternity leave budget e.g not 5* £4000.
Any lovely ideas? Thank you :)

Forgot to say - we also won’t be booking it until a few weeks or so before once we know we have a passport / know we’ll manage it!

With a 4 month old I’d go to where you fancy and they’ll generally be ok! My requirements for travelling with DS were having good medical facilities on hand and the ability to buy baby food/nappies etc.

But Nice and the Côte d’Azur is lovely at that time of year, or Costa del Sol- the promenade at Benalmadena is great with prams.

We spent a week in Brittany when DS was a baby, stayed near Cancale which has lots of restaurants, visited Saint Malo and Mont St Michel. DS was happy in the pram or trying a bit of our food, or in the sling.
