Covid pass help!
iamapillock · 21/04/2022 09:59
I'll start by saying I'm a total idiot, but I've had a lot going on.
Anyway, been sorting my holiday stuff out for travel early next week, and realised I haven't verified my identity on the nhs app. I've used a covid pass in the uk before, and stupidly thought it was the same as for travel!
I've done what I need to do, but it says it can take 7 days to verify 🤦♀️ is there any other way of proving vaccination without using the app? I've googled but it's telling me I can request a letter via 119 (can't see that coming in time) any other ideas?

Call 119 now and get your paper copies. Mine arrived within a few days. Also the ID on the app doesnt always take that long to come through. GPs won't help. Good luck!

it can take 7 days to verify but mine verified in about 30 mins. go ahead & start the process.

The Scottish covid pass has both on it - a pass for using in the UK and an international travel one. I am guessing yours doesn't have this option?
We are travelling at the weekend and our airline asked us to upload our documents to verify in advance. I was able to download what was needed from the NHS website.

@parietal
I rang 119 and they said no point getting a letter as that won't come in time either - I was wondering if the GP would be any help but guessing not (and I'm sure they have more important things to be doing)

I was thinking I could pay for a pcr but it seems to suggest online that's just for under 18's or people who couldn't get vaccinated for health reasons, not for idiots who just didn't do their paperwork properly!

I recently identified my dds online and it was done by the next day, so don't panic! You can also log on to your NHS account online using the same details and download the vaccination certificate, but I'm not sure if you can do that before you're verified. Worth a try though.

Panic over...it came through.
However, just in case this happens to anyone else, we found on the Spanish Gov website that you can manually enter your vaccination details if you can't use the app. I'm not sure how much info is required but worth looking into if anyone finds themselves in the same boat!
