What size holiday clothes?

We are going on holiday on the 13th June, my son is 4 months old and is in 3-6 month clothing at the moment but it won’t be long until he moves on to 6-9 as he is a big baby. He was 9lb1oz at birth. I’m wondering how long he will stay in 6-9 month clothing for? I need to start holiday shopping for clothes but I am struggling on what size to get. I would say in May he will be going in to 6-9 months.

You could definitely get a few bits in 6-9 months, even if they don’t fit yet for the June holiday, they’ll certainly fit for the rest of the summer e.g. July and August in this country. But I’d get most of baby’s stuff closer to the time, there’s no reason why stuff needs to be bought now.

How long is a piece of string :o Sorry but it's impossible to say, they have growth spurts at the most awkward times and mine seemed to almost skip sizes. I'd buy general summery stuff in the next size and anything you specifically want like a UV suit, buy the week before you go so you know what size to get.

You can buy much bigger in summer stuff. T shirts and shorts will last all summer then.I’d get 9-12😂

I have tried the ones on him that we already have (most were gifts when he was born) and I have kept receipts for stuff that I have bought him. I will get some stuff closer to the time, it’s just when you see things and you think that would look nice for holiday but then you don’t know what size! 😂

I would just buy as late as possible. You can get basics he will need anyway in the larger size but anything which is only used for Summer I would get not yet.

You could make notes of where you see items so you can then shop immediately.
