James Villas not answering phone. Worried

I want to pay the balance of the cost of a villa in Italy in July hired through James Villas but they are not answering their phones (recorded message saying lines are closed). Nothing untoward on the website and I could pay through that but I'm worried now! Has anyone heard any rumours about them going under?

I’m trying to get through to them too but have the same message……does anyone have any info????

I work in the travel industry and have seen a few comments on our forums about call wait times, but no suggestion of going out of business. People are getting through if they retry. Unfortunately like most of the industry there are major staffing issues at the moment.

Thanks that's reassuring. I'll keep trying but I'll have to pay up soon as the deadline is fast approaching. They are not responding to tweets or Facebook messages either - very poor form.

@squashyhat did you get through? I too have been trying to pay a balance and email them. I get an automated reply then nothing.

I ended up messaging them on Facebook to get a response.
