Summer 23

I'm looking for somewhere to go next Summer, that has something traditional about it. Somewhere that's not overally touristy but with lots around to do.
Thinking of Spain or the Spanish islands. I just seem to be going round in circles, everywhere I see is over an hour away from the airport and we aren't planning on having a car from the airport.

You need a smaller city then. Alicante, Valencia, Huelva, Tarragona, are all on the coast and either have their own airport nearby or are within a quick train/bus ride of one. Mind you, in summer they’re boiling.

Or you could look at the northern coast - Santander, Gijón, Bilbao, San Sebastián or any of the Galician cities for cooler temps, however the ocean there is colder than the Med. Some require a layover if flying from the UK too.

DD will be 14, she's not really into the beach, but does like a laze around the pool!
