Holiday to Barcelona but due to rain all week?

We have a very postponed trip to Barcelona starting on Monday and the weather is looking pretty miserable. We can move the flights as they're with Easyjet or we can just suck it up and find indoor things to do. Any suggestions?

We just returned from spain (Alicante not Barcelona) and weather was very hit and miss. We managed to get out in the rain and still enjoy food, drink and a few sights, however the sun came out on our last day and made such a difference! Shame we had to get our flight! Depends what you are after from the trip really, Barcelona has plenty to do and see but the rain gets you down when it seems endless. Our last day forecast was 22 degrees and cloudy, but sun came out and was perfect.

Thank you! I know it sounds silly but we've waited for so long to go away that the weather is stressing me out. I know there's lots of indoor things we can do though.

I suggest you go and have a lovely time. It won't rain 100% of the time and it's still a really great city when it does rain. I've been to Barcelona several times, once in March when it was between 16-18 degrees most of the time and rained a fair bit. It was still an amazing holiday. It will probably feel much warmer in the rain there than it does here too.
(Go for brunch at Federal Cafe & have tacos at Rosa Negra)

Take a brolly. It rained when we were there and it was a torrential shower, but we didn’t have a brolly !

I’d still go as there’s masses to do inside: Casa Batllo, Aquarium, La Boqueria, La Sagrada, Picasso Museum, Dali museum, flamenco show, tapas, churros and hot chocolate, shopping malls, CosmoCaixa if you have children, Barca Musuem and most of the Camp Nou tour… The hop on hop off bus tours have a canopy over the top deck for when it rains.

We've just come back from the Barcelona area and it was really warm. I'd say in the low 20s. It only rained on 1 day (13th). It was very windy where we were though.
I have spent 2 weeks in Barcelona during the month if August and the weather was bad. Cloudy and grey for the most part.
So if the destination is fixed, I would just go rather than put it off further. Having said that, I would avoid school holidays of at all possible. It was absolutely rammed in the city when we were there 😏

How long is your trip? How reliable is the weather forecast so far ahead?
There are plenty of indoor attractions plus shopping/food etc
Just be sure to book your visit tickets online in advance as they will be busier presumably if raining

We recently cancelled a trip to Malaga due to the appalling weather, so glad we did as friends who live there were telling us how bad it was for the whole fortnight we should have been there. However, your forecast is nowhere near as bad but not great with Weds and Thursday being indoor only I'd say.
Use Aemet.es for the most reliable forecast or watch online on RTVE eltiempo, lots of graphics if your Spanish isn't up to much!
If you are in an apartment rather than a hotel obviously it's easier to stay in and eat etc if the weather's rubbish.
If you go hope you have a great time.

I went to Barcelona and it rained and was freezing the whole time, we has the worst time! I say postpone if you can.

Barcelona is so beautiful and interesting. My favourite part is the old cathedral, not the sagrada familia. I have been 3 times, various weather. It's fabulous.
