Covid passport

Hi, does anyone know how long it takes for the booster to show up on the nhs app covid passport?
I fly out on Monday and only realised last night that I'd gone over the 270 days since my last jab required for entry. I've had my booster today but terrified that it wont be updated in time for me to fly out. I feel so stupid 😢

Also, does anyone know if there's another way of getting proof? I have the card they give you when you're vaccinated and the nurse took screenshots and sent me them of my file showing I've received the booster but doubt either of these will work. I'm so mad at myself right now, first holiday in 3 years and I might not be able to go

Where are you going? We recently flew to Germany and no one checked our Covid passes, and I think the same is true of a lot of places now.

foreverchangingmyname · 12/04/2022 13:59

@Grumpysister Balearic Islands. My Dp flew to mainland Spain a few months ago and they were still checking everything then. I'm praying it'll come through in time or they might be a bit lax but don't wanna get my hopes up

I think you can apply for a hard copy from somewhere, Google it. My parents got one in a couple of days.
You could call you GP and ask if they can update it.
Also check how long before entry you needed the booster. Some places it's 14 days.

foreverchangingmyname · 12/04/2022 14:24

@purpleboy I've looked but can't see anything anywhere about the hard copy. According to the gov website there's no time limit on the booster, just the second dose

When we were on holiday at Christmas they wanted booster shots to be 14 days old. (Spain/Andorra). That might have changed though...

foreverchangingmyname · 12/04/2022 14:31

Oh god, I hope not! Have I read this wrong?

www.gov.uk/foreign-travel-advice/spain/entry-requirements

There is no requirement for 14 days to have passed between receiving your booster jab and entering Spain. Booster jabs can be administered at any time prior to travel to Spain. There is currently no expiry date for booster jabs.

That's from the gov website. I'm panicking doubly now

Book a test just in case. Can always cancel if the pass turns up (which it almost certainly will)

foreverchangingmyname · 12/04/2022 14:36

@Aposterhasnoname I will do!

Does anyone know roughly how often the app is updated?

Looking at that you're ok.

zoop1 · 12/04/2022 14:40

Having been a vaccinator, we were told the information about vaccine doses should appear in the NHS App within about 48 hours of administration. So it should easily be there by Monday.

Muchtoomuchtodo · 12/04/2022 14:42

I don’t know where in the uk you are, but at the vaccination centre I worked at in Wales we were told to tell people that it would show within 5 days.

I’m not sure why since it’s all computerised but that’s what we were telling people.

foreverchangingmyname · 12/04/2022 14:55

I'm in the north west. The vaccinator told me anywhere between 2-5 days but with it being a bank holiday weekend I'm cutting it fine. My nerves are shot 😩

Just tried to apply for a hard copy and the system can't find my details. This does not bode well 😭

covid-status.service.nhsx.nhs.uk/ for a hard copy.

The app updated (for me) less than 2 days.

foreverchangingmyname · 14/04/2022 10:46

Just in case anyone comes across this looking for an answer, it came in within 48 hours thankfully!
