Rome : day trips close by/hiking/lakes vineyards etc

Hi
We will be in Rome for 7 days , 2 adults and 2 children 6&10.

I would like to do a day trip outside of Rome to somewhere that isn’t too touristy but more authentic Italy.

Maybe a nice vineyard or lake etc

Any ideas ?

Ostia Antica is really interesting and not as busy as Rome. It's an archeological site though so you might be looking for something different.

When I was in Rome we went to Frascati to a vineyard . I don’t remember much ! Rome is my favourite city .

Or you could go to Fregene and eat spaghetti vongole on the beach in the sunshine.
