Germany with teens

We are planning a trip to Germany with our two teenage daughters (19 and 16) in December. We will have 3 weeks. None of us have ever been before, but we don't want to be rushing nonstop either. So far our list includes: Berlin, Munich, Garmish Partenchigen, Heidelberg. Any other suggestions? We'll be coming from Australia, and really want to experience some of heart of Germany.

I would definitely do Berlin, Munich and the South. If you go for the Black Forrest check out Europa Park, they usually have a special Christmas Programme and Badeparadies Schwarzwald - migh be worth pe booking for special events.

If you decide to travel by train, check with your accommodation if free travel on local public transport is included. Most tourist areas have this called Kurtaxe (?) and its an cheap, easy way to get around.
