Best carry on luggage?

I’m looking for a suitcase to use as carry on luggage and am having a bit of analysis paralysis!
I want something super lightweight, but also something with wheels.
I’m happy to spend more to make it a lifetime(ish!) lasting piece of luggage.
Help!! What do you recommend?

Budget airlines’ carry on sizes have changed now, some say hands luggage has to fit under the seat so I would think about a hold-all with wheels.
