We stayed at the Royal crescent one - really wouldn't recommend it, thought it very overpriced for what it was and teh dinner was v disappointing. Sorry, not very helpful!

Opposite the uni there is a great B&B on a farm - can't remember the name though - would be cheaper than most of the bigger hotels. If you go onine or ring the tourist board they may be able to help - if you need one close to the uni - look for places on Combe Down, North Road and Pultney Street area - which is close to centre aswell. Combe Grove Manor is nice but can be pricey.

I am going along that way later this week - will check out the name of the farmhouse B&B if you like.

If you want cheap and cheerful, the Travel Lodge in the city Centre is good. It's in a lovely Georgian building and only a 5 min walk from the shops.

i advise you to search the archive. there have been quite a few threads on bath hotels.

Rainbow Wood Farm is the one by the Uni. No idea what it is like but very close. Otherwise look for places in Claverton Down, where the Uni is, or Claverton which is just down the road. Anywhere in Bathwick should be ok as there are buses that regularly go up the hill to the campus. Hope that helps!

Rainbow wood farm looks just the ticket, thank you!

Stayed in Milsoms Hotel when we went for a wedding about 4 years ago. Booked late so had to have the biggest/most expensive room which was only about £15 more than the smaller ones and it was DIVINE. Loch Fyne restaurant below for yummy seafood, and very central.
