Italy - does this type of accommodation exist?

Really keen to find accommodation in Italy (or France really) that is a high standard, good pool, beautiful country or sea, but critically walking distance to restaurants and cafes. Don’t mind apartments with a shared pool, just want them to be nice. Slightly scarred by an apartment we stayed in once where you could only use two plug sockets at the same time and the beds were as hard as rocks! Any recommendations please? Thank you

Would a nice camping village do?Planning on driving over or flying?Dont know if I'm allowed to say it on here but Bibione is nice.An hour by train into Venice. There is a coach from Venice Marco Polo airport and also from Venice Treviso...low cost flights use these airports.Around an hour coach.Nice family orientated or without children.Definitely not ruff.Cycle paths, nice beach, good food. Can't go wrong.Google it.

Look on Agriturismo Italy site. Some very nice ones with pools.

I have had some lovely villas and apartments from a company called www.provacances.co.uk

This one was very nice. Spacious apartment, good quality furniture and nice pool. Les Issambres is a really lovely little French town. Nice beach and good selection of shops and restaurants. Not over developed.

Italian beds are rock hard. They just are. I sleep on a firm bed, Italian beds are basically the same as sleeping on the floor 😂

As for hotels or villas, apartments, the choice is vast, but you get what you pay for. Pool and short walk to town or beach in Tuscany will obviously be way more expensive than quirky old farmhouse in Calabria.

There is a load of accommodation that matches what you require, however it does depend on how much you want to spend and when you will be going. If August you will have a lot less choice as the best places will be snapped up. If May/June you’ll have more options at a better price.
