Portugal or Greece in May

Any recommendations, 3 dc aged 5,8,11, looking to go may half term.

I’m biased as I live here, but Carvoeiro in the Algarve? Small resort, sandy beach, lots of apartments and villas, a few hotels. Lots of choice of restaurants.

Greece is fabulous in May as most resorts start opening straight after Greek Easter which I think is around 24/4 this year.
Pools might be a bit nippy to swim in though that never stopped my dd! Obviously a bit warmer the further south you go. We have done Crete, Rhodes, Kos, Skiathos and Corfu in May and all wonderful!

What about Cyprus? Bit warmer weather.
