Hi everyone!
I’be just started TTC, and would like to take a medium-haul trip later this year. I’m in Scandinavia, and wouldn’t like to fly more than 6/7 hours.
If I don’t end up being pregnant, I want to still enjoy the destination, so I don’t want a total fly and flop.
I want to avoid anywhere with Zika, dengue or other tropical diseases, which seems to write off a fairly big chunk of the world. And a destination with good medical care if needed of course. I’d also get a flexible ticket in case I needed to cancel.
So far, I’m considering;
- Turkey
- Egypt
- Oman
- Israel
- Corsica
- Cape Verde - though I think it’s had Zika outbreaks in the past
- Mauritius - but it’s so far away
I love history, culture and trying local food. Not into resort-style/AI trips.
Would love anyone’s input on where they happily travelled during pregnancy since Zika became a thing.
Thanks!
