Covid pass letter has abbreviated first name - does it matter?

I’ve just had my covid pass letter and I’ve only just noticed that my first name is abbreviated on my records - ie Deb instead of Debra. My passport has my full name. Will it matter? We travel next weekend.

Where are you going! And do you have the NHS app as you can get the Covid pass on the app

@AuditAngel - I’m going to The Maldives. I do have the App but the name is the same on there! Wondering if it will be ok if I also take birth certificate?

Can you edit your name on the app?

I would ring your GP to see what name you are registered with. Get them to change it from the abbreviated name, if that’s what it is to full and it should change on the app. I had to change my surname and it changed on the app within 24hours of the GP altering my records.

@TruffleShuffles - it’s good to hear that it happened quickly for you. I’ve been in to see my GP and they do have the abbreviated name on my record. I’ve shown my passport and asked them to update their record asap.

Hi. Just curious if this worked for you? My friend is having the same problem, shortened first name on covid pass. We fly on Sunday, 2 days away!!
