Manchester Twilight Bag Drop

Travelling from T2 on Sunday 10th April and quite concerned about the reports of huge queues and general chaos. Considering using the twilight bag drop as we live 15 mins away and our flight is 9am so could drop bags afternoon before and go straight to check in on day of travel.
My only reservation is it sounds like an opportunity to lose baggage and we are going skiing so not having our hold bags on arrival in France would be a very bad outcome. Has anyone used the twilight drop and does it work well?

following as have a similar situation in may. Main question which is not clear is does everyone have to turn up or is it ok for just one adult with the luggage.
We are also just 15 minutes away so possibly very near you!

I would think less chance of getting lost than on the day.

But am not convinced it will save a lot of time as there could still be long queues for the twilight bag drop (or just the main bag drop not sure if it's separate). but one less thing to worry about on the day. Our flight is at 6.30 so the less stress the better.

We've used it in the past and it is well worth it for an early flight IMO. Only one person needs to go, but I think you need to take passports for everyone. There were no queues at all in the evening when we've done it.

Thanks for replies, do you know whereabouts the Twilight Drop area is? Difficult to find info on airport and Jet2 websites. Keep seeing horror pictures of Manchester airport (maskless) chaos which isn't filling me with confidence Confused

I didn't think they were offering early bag drop at the minute? I could be wrong though
PinkDaydreams · 09/04/2022 14:28

Apologies, I think some airlines are offering twilight bag drop, not all of them though. Good luck!

LakeFlyPie · 09/04/2022 15:24

Thanks, Jet2.com are advertising it, hope it works, DH just left!

Hi, just wondered how your twilight bag drop went? We are thinking of doing this for our early flight on Saturday but concerned about where to park whilst we drop the bags off on Friday evening. Did you park in the short stay car park, and if so how much did it cost please? Thanks

Hi
Thinking of using Jet2 twilight bag drop at Mcr Airport before our early flight on Saturday and wondered if anyone else has done this? With the huge queues this week I’m hoping it will help us get through the airport a bit faster. If you did do it, did you have to park up in the short stay car park or can you use the drop off area whilst you take cases in? Thanks

tanstaafl · 05/05/2022 13:49

The drop off area is now away from the terminals.
you can park in a short stay and drop off, it’ll be a few quid.
everyone travelling needs to be at the drop off for passport verification.
think it closes at 8pm.

Thank you, we’ll give it a try tomorrow 🤞

You need to have checked in on line before any twilight bag drop, and only one person need go to bag drop as passport verification already done on on line check in and will be done again in the airport www.jet2.com/en/twilight

Are too aware the people who asked questions about this flew in April and May?
I am not sure why you resurrected this thread.

Thiswayorthatway · 05/08/2022 20:32

Err yes, I am asking the same question just a different time.
