Efteling - self catering

I have searched old threads but not found the answer. We will eat some meals out but how easy is it to self cater in Efteling? Is there a shop on site or should I pick up some cereal, milk, fruit, etc on our through Amsterdam?

We are travelling with grandparents who have some health problems and will need some control over what they eat.

Are you staying at Bosrijk? We stayed there in one of the woodland houses. It was well equipped with lots of utensils. There is a good AH supermarket for supplies in Kaatsheuvel, 5 minutes drive from Efteling.

Yes, we’re staying in a woodland house but we don’t have a car.

Are you getting the train through Den Bosch? You’d be better off going to a supermarket there than lugging the stuff from Amsterdam. Den Bosch will be cheaper too. There is a small shop onsite though and you can book to have a little food package in your cottage when you arrive. I think you might also be able to get a proper supermarket delivery from Albert Heijn.

I love Albert Heijn. Been in my local Belgian one on the way home from work and have all the tiger bread.

How long are you going for? I assume only a couple of days. There is a small shop onsite. If not id get a cab to the supermarket.

When are you going? I’m going on Sunday so can let you know how well equipped the on-site shop is if you like

KimberWozRobbed · 31/03/2022 22:44

There is a Lidl about twenty minutes walk away aswell.

Shinytaps · 02/04/2022 21:39

@alrightfella yes, just a couple of days.

@TheBolterdahling that would be fab, thanks! We go in a few weeks time.

@Shinytaps the shop is very basic. Very few bits like cheese milk and ham juice and some tins of soup. But the restaurant options in and out the park are fab. Can get pizza delivered and fresh bread/pastries delivered in the morning to Bosrijk houses. Not sure about Loonsche land.
