Hi all, so previously I had finger on the book for Morocco but it all has gone to pot so UK breaks anywhere with an indoor pool water slides as a possibility and activities like football or tennis but also indoor stuff incase it's raining??? I've looked at Alton towers....

I can't think of many places like this (with the slides etc) that aren't center parcs. You might be better off finding places near a good water park and building a break around that- The Wave in Coventry, or there is a water park in Blackpool.

Another idea would be to look at places that offer outdoor style breaks- YHA, or outdoor centres. You'd get the planned activities for children, but not the water park (although that could be added on at the start/end?)

Bluestone in Wales fits the bill.

TheGirlWhoLived · 29/03/2022 21:02

There’s a huge indoor water park (I think the biggest in the uk) in Stoke on Trent, you could stay nearby and do Alton towers, waterworld, crazy golf, go ape, ninja warrior park etc

Thank you everyone for your replies really helpful !
Bluestone is a good contender and we haven't been before and if the weather is nice we could even have a walk along the little beach?!

I researched the water parks in Stoke on Trent but just the one at Alton towers so thank you for that @TheGirlWhoLived!

Not Waterworld. It's filthy! Bluestone is lovely
TheGirlWhoLived · 29/03/2022 21:17

Wasn’t filthy when I went a couple weeks ago…

Bluestone gets my vote. I much prefer it to centre parks

Sandy Balls holiday park in the New Forest, has activities and a pool. New Forest to explore, Paultons Park is nearby for a day out (cleanest theme park I've ever been to).

Splashdown in Poole is a great water park, stay anywhere in nearby and travel in, we were in the new forest and went twice. Kids loved it. You'll struggle to find a decent one with on site accommodation.

Woolacombe Bay is great for activities and, I think, has a wave machine for surfing..

Easterbunnyiswindowshopping · 30/03/2022 21:17

We go to Haven at Craig Tara!!

JohnMcCainsDeathStare · 30/03/2022 21:19

There's a big water part in Coventry and you could use it as a base to go to London, trains to the coast, Statford on avon etc

Toponeniceone · 30/03/2022 21:20

Butlins Minehead.

hilbil21 · 30/03/2022 21:20

Hafan Y Mor Haven would fit the bill Smile

HamSandwichKiller · 30/03/2022 21:32

Trecco Bay Park Dean park in Porthcawl. Not as fancy as Centre Parcs/Bluestone but plenty to do other than the pool.
