12 year old travel to Italy - one week after second jab

Hi all,
I'm driving myself mad trying to find clarity on this. I know Italy's guidelines change (becoming less restrictive) from the 1st of April.
I am due to travel with 12 year old DS to Italy on the 10th of April. This will be 8 days after his second jab. I feel like I'm finding conflicting information online - some sites seem to suggest that he'd actually be fine on just one jab, others suggesting that two jabs are needed (fine), or that he needs at least two weeks following the jab in order to exempt him from a fit to fly test.
Does anyone know? Obviously I don't want to pay for a fit to fly test if he now counts as fully vaccinated....

One jab is definitely not considered vaccinated. In Italy one would be issued the green pass 48 hrs after the second dose, so I’d say you should be ok, the key thing is to have the scannable code.
I might err on side of caution and do the antigen test. You can get them for around £18 with Chronomics.
