Help me make sense of Tenerife travel rules for 12 year olds

Please help I'm so confused!
Travelling to Tenerife. 12 year old has 1 vaccine and a covid recovery certificate. Canary Islands and Spanish websites seem to say that she ALSO needs a PCR test as under 18. UK gov website seems to say recovery cert will do.
Has anyone very recently been to Tenerife with this situation and can advise?
I'm considering doing a PCR test anyway to be certain.

Hi.

I have been looking into this for the past week and have had so many conflicting answers. I contacted TUI who we fly with next week and they have said our 12 year old only needs a certificate of recovery as stated on the GOV website. The problem is, like you I have visited the Spanish gov home website and they state a pcr!! ARGHH!! JET2 also state they need a pcr test.

If anyone who has travelled recently can help us that would be amazing!

Thanks in advance.

Steve

PCR I believe. I'm in Tenerife at the moment with a fully vaxxed teen but a friend is coming with her 14yo who's only had one jab and she said she's having to get him a PCR test before they come.

This info seems to indicate you can have a certificate of recovery. I think point 3 is to allow children between 12-18 who don’t have a certificate of recovery or full vaccination to provide a PCR instead?

A certificate of recovery is fine; please see below a screen grab I sent to my colleagues yesterday when we had the exact same question :)

Has anyone managed to get a covid recovery certificate for a 12 year old? I seem to be going round in circles. NHS site only seems to want to offer vaccination status passes, 12 year olds can’t get the NHS app, and although I’ve got my daughter linked on my app it doesn’t show a pass, just a note on her records of a positive test. Docs said call 119 as they can’t do it and then 119 said apply online, so I’m back to where I started. Help!

UK travellers aged 12 and above are still required to show proof of being fully vaccinated - or a certificate of recovery obtained than 180 days from the date of travel - to get into the country.

The only exception to this rule applies to those aged 12-17, who are able to get into the country unvaccinated provided they have proof of a negative, approved PCR test taken within 72 hours of arrival.

I set up an account for my 12 year old through the NHS website. Once they confirmed his identity we were able to download and then print his covid recovery form.

Hope this helps.

If you go through the above link it asks you to register with an email address and password. It will then send a link to the email address and confirm your child's identity through a face scan online.

Once it's all done your travel pass is there to save or download.
