We need to fill this in 48 hours before flying
Has anyone had any experience of not receiving the QR code's in time ?
Dh is worried about this happening! We know it needs to be done etc, but he he is stressing out about it a bit.

You can download the pdf with the QR code as soon as you complete the form - it's really not stressful.

Have a good trip!

I went to Malaga for a few days last week and my QR code was through a matter of minutes after completing the form.

The code is there instantly.. so no need to panic!
If at first it doesn’t recognise your covid cert just re download it from the NHS app again, it kept saying mine was out of date… which it wasn’t.. just a glitch

It doesn't 'come back' it's literally produced on the final page of the form and then emailed within 5 mins just in case. You'll be more than fine.

You’ll be asked for it at the airport plus your proof of vaccination.
They’ll scan both. They want the last uk vaccination to scan , so booster if you’ve had three.

Are you confusing what the QR code is? It's the one on your NHS app not a test result

Dh has downloaded the SpTH app for the Spanish authorities and we need a QR code back from them once it's filled in 48 hours before we go, this is the one he is worried about mostly
We both have the nhs app for the vaccines and paper versions too, so I think that will be alright

It’s easy don’t worry.
You have to upload your vaccination certificate and i d.They email the form to you immediately.Just print it out. They scan it on the way out of the airport. It’s all really quick and easy.🙂

He is just concerned about the SpTH app, there is a form in there to fill in 2 days before you fly
It's the Spanish locator form

Been to Spain 3 times in the last year, it's not a problem at all.

When you complete the Spanish locator form in the last 48 hours before you travel you will be able to download the ‘certificate’ with the QR code on it. You can print the forms or have them on your phone/tablet.
At the airport they will check name on locator form, scan QR code then ask you for the proof of vaccination form for same person , then scan the QR code of the last vaccination.

One thing I found odd with their webpage was if I chose ‘Booster’ as the most recent vaccination then clicked ‘Validate’ it was rejected!.
I picked the only other option which was something like ‘complete program’ which thankfully did allow ‘Validate’ to work.

That's so helpful , thank you
Dh has filled in a few things already and we will continue to fill in the rest 48 hours before we go as per the rules!
He is just so stressed about it all , I've looked up the website for the app and the forms do look a bit complex , but maybe we are just stressing too much I think ( and not flown anywhere for years too)
The vaccination certs and apps are all fine etc
We have been vaccinated.
It's just this locator form that is worrying us

It really is fine and very easy.

It accepted the details of our vaccinations, but wouldn't accept the scans of DH and DSS's vaccine passes. However the SpTH QR codes were still available no problem within seconds. Mine said it was pre-checked and DH and DSS's said they had to show the vaccination passes on arrival, that's all. When we got there no-one checked at all - possibly because we were obviously waving documentation excitedly. Grin

I've never known him to get so stressed out about it all : maybe it's our age ( we're getting older ) or just because this is all just more things to think about and make sure it's all done in the correct time frame etc.
We have paper versions of the covid vaccine as well as the app's for that bit.
At least we won't need a pcr test for this airline

We did ours on the Friday evening before we flew on the Sunday afternoon. Well within the 48 hours, but not last minute (in case the printer broke or something). We also had everything printed, saved onto our phones, and saved onto my laptop.

It's instant - the website accepts your details and then gives you a link to the QR code/form, and also emails it to you. Chill!

Also OP you can start the forms now, that’s what I would recommend. You just can’t enter the covid pass until 48Hrs before, however you can enter all details, passport details, location etc. it means less to do before you fly!

Done it today and the qr code is emailed instantly.

We havent flown for years either and will be in the summer, I dont have proof of my vaccines, Im not sure where the little card is. I dont have any NHS apps or anything, what do I need to do, in order to do the required stuff for Spain?

@bellac11
The vaccination cards are not acceptable.

You don’t need the nhs app or a smartphone.
You do need to create a login on the NHS vaccination website , think it needs your NI number.
You’ll be able to download and print your proof of vaccination - a QR code for each vaccination and details of where , when and what each vaccination type was.
