Covid recovery certificate

Hi all

We are due to travel to the US in 2 1/2 weeks. We have all recently recovered from covid. We tested positive on lateral flows and I reported it so have the nhs email. Can I get recovery certificates from this from a private company and travel without taking pre departure tests? It's 2 adults and a 7 and 4 year old if that makes any difference.

I can't seem to find a straight answer online.

We are all testing negative now so we will just do the pre departure lateral flows as it's much cheaper.
