NHS Covid pass for teenagers

questionsneverstop · 22/03/2022 11:17

I have had my NHS covid pass since they created it but I am really struggling to understand how to get it for my 13 yo and 12 yo sons.
My 13yo has been double vaxxed, the 12 yo has only one jab.
I have asked the GP to link their nhs profiles to my account and now i can see all their details and immunisations (covid included) but the pass is not there....
What am I doing wrong? Should they have a proper app (indipendent from my profile)?

anyone can help please?

It's slightly different for a 12 year old versus 13 year old. Does this link help?

www.nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid-19/get-digital-covid-pass/

And yes, it's their own app for the 13 year old

Thanks bare.

So, they both have to create a NHS log in.
Is this the same as being linked in my app?

Yes, both have to have a NHS login, so I guess they need an email address, if they don't have one. They will already have NHS numbers from the vaccine (or any other interaction from the NHS)

I asked a similar question here:

Your 13 year old can have their own app on their own phone:

www.nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid-19/get-digital-covid-pass/

However I'm not sure if your 12 year old can have it. Hopefully someone else has more information on this.

Thank you! This is very useful

I created an NHS Login for my 12yo DS. Through that you can download their covid pass on PDF, which you can then save on your phone. So it's slightly different for adults and 13+ who can get the pass through the app.

I'm hoping I've got it right anyway! We're travelling to Prague at Easter - first time abroad since the pandemic - and I'm paranoid about getting it wrong.
