California Guided Tour - Me & DD, 15

Hi all, I'm looking to do a guided tour of California during 2023 Easter holidays, just me and my DD, who will then be 15.

I did a similar thing years ago pre kids and really enjoyed it - coach party was probably on the 'old side' though.

Has anyone done anything similar with a teenager? I won't be driving over there do it really has to be a guided tour. We want to take in LA, Las Vegas and San Francisco, spending a few days in each...but I'm worried about her eye rolling if we're travelling with oldies!

Don’t discount using greyhound buses and Amtrak trains and plan your own tour. This gives you flexibility to decide how lonepg you want to stay in each place.

Is the non driving because you don’t drive or because you don’t want to?

i have done LA/Vegas and San fran all without a car.

LA we stayed near hollywood strip, could get metro to Universal, did a city tour to Santa monica area, uber to WB studios. - then moved to Anaheim for Disney few days as its 2 hours drive away.

Vegas, no need for a car, taxis up and down the strip if neeed. you can get picked up for all the Helicopter over grand canion trips.

San fran - small city, can walk most of it, or get busses etc.

So i did guided tours in places (ie free walking tours) or just ubered to the place and got tickets myself. could then customise it to exactly my interests.
