We are planning a trip to Singapore for a week in July with DC 13 and 11. We are planning of staying in Sentosa - can anyone recommend for a resort where to stay as well as your top tips for things to do?

Thanks!

Oooo loved Singapore. You could probably do a week in Sentosa on its own. It's an obvious one but Universal is really good and those ages will no doubt love. I'd set aside a day for general Sentosa stuff too... Just exploring it.

Have you checked you meet the entry requirements? I’m sure they require aged 13 to be fully vaxed. Sing are very strict!

Singapore is a brilliant place! We really enjoyed the night safari at the zoo, it meant you could see the nocturnal animals that you don’t during the day.

The flower domes at the Gardens by the Bay

Before covid, there was a free

1
In front of Marina Bay sands Hotel
Free fountain & music display at night

2
Behind this hotel in the gardens
Free music & light show from the huge metal trees at night

We enjoyed the Shangri-La Rasa Sentosa in the past, but not sure if Covid has affected things.

Big yes to Gardens by the Bay - the evening light show is well worth it too.

Jewel at T4 at the airport is also quite fun - worth getting to the airport early.

Good advice earlier on the night zoo.

I have an upcoming trip to Singapore and found this blog to be one of the best resources for planning - caveat being I don't have kids so entertaining teens was not a requirement for the holiday.

Can't really speak about resort as everything depends on your budget.

On things to do, here are my top ideas:

  • Gardens by the Bay
  • Marina Bay Sands & Sands Skypark Observation Deck
  • Arab Street
  • Lau Pa Sat
  • National Museum of Singapore
  • Clarke Quay

You can check karambol.io to generate yourself a travel itinerary on the fly.

For resorts around Sentosa, I'll recommend these few although it really depends on your budget:

  • Sofitel Singapore Sentosa
  • Village Hotel Sentosa
  • W Singapore
  • The Outpost Hotel Sentosa
  • Equarius Hotel
  • Capella Singapore

For things to do, here are some suggestions:

  • Art Science Museum
  • Gardens by The Bay
  • Jewel
  • Universal Studios
  • Adventure Cove
  • China Town
  • Merlion
  • Singapore Zoo

Thank you for all the terrific replies, they are really helpful, especially the blog link.

What are the beaches like? From what I can gather, they are not surf beaches.
