Porto suggestions?

DP and I are off to Porto in a couple of weeks and I’d love any suggestions of places to see/eat/drink.

We’re early 30s, not massively into museums but like a wander, maybe a bike ride, eating out, live music, rooftop bars, shopping and just relaxing with a glass of wine in the afternoon.

We’re staying at Eurostars Porto Douro and will be there for 3 nights/4 days so happy to explore different areas.

The river trip is fun and it’s a nice walk looping from one side of the town to the other near the cable cars and across the bridge. Eat francesinhas at Brasao Cervejaria and brunch at Zenith. Cycle out towards the lighthouse and beach. Rooftop bars around Santa Catarina. Cathedral and clerigos tower. We loved it and just enjoyed hanging out and aimless wandering with drink stops!

We did a tile painting class and a custard tart making class and those were fun. Port tasting by the river. Boat trip. Tram ride. Cable car. Food markets. Lots of beautiful churches. We did a day trip to Aveiro.

Oh this is very reassuring that we’re on the right track. I’ve booked brunch at Zenith and we’re planning the cable car and a cycle out to the beach. Tile painting sounds like a great idea, I’ll have a look into that.

Any food markets in particular you would recommend?
