I often use booking.com and have done for years. I find it use friendly and cheap.
However, I was due to make a payment yesterday and kept getting a message saying payment was denied. I tried many times on various computers and with two different cards/accounts.
Now the booking has been automatically cancelled. If I try to rebook it has gone up in price, and I get the same message. I'm so annoyed as everything is more expensive now.
I have tried messaging customer services who simply told me to rebook. I tried messaging the accommodation directly who haven't yet replied.
Has anyone else been in this position? How did you resolve it? Thank you.
