Hi there! We are going to Caribbean for our first trip abroad in 2.5 years at Easter - lucky us! I’m trying to figure out the US covid test requirements so that we don’t end up in trouble. I found the best/cheapest flight was on American, connecting in Miami, assumed I could book a hotel in Miami for us and it would be a fun bit of the adventure. Then I clocked the covid test requirements. I’m an idiot I know. Has anyone transited through a US airport recently?
We fly on a weds, so we will organise in-person tests in UK on the Tuesday. We land at about 1700 on weds US time and take off again around 11am on the thursday. Can we use the same test we did on tuesday in UK to get on the flight in Miami? Husband and I are triple vaxxed, dd14 is double vaxxed and son is single vaxxed (had covid in oct so couldn’t get his first shot until january).
Any advice/experience much appreciated!
